Trustee - APPLICATION NOW CLOSED
We are excited to share a new opportunity for an individual to join our trustee board and be part of shaping the future of theMovement Charity!
We are seeking a trustee who is passionate about restoring every woman’s right to exercise and who has experience working in the VAWG sector, specifically supporting women in lived in accommodation, for example refuges.
Role: Trustee of theMovement Charity in accordance with The Charity Commission requirements and expectations https://www.gov.uk/guidance/charity-trustee-whats-involved. We meet as trustees bi-monthly either in central London or on zoom.
Selection Criteria: A first screening will be made based on the applicants experience in working in the VAWG sector, specifically supporting women in lived in accommodation, for example refuges, and their understanding of theMovement Charity ethos and approach. Further screenings will look at the applicants previous involvement in setting up small charities and then any additional skills that could be offered - in particular experience in fund-raising.
Please note: we are committed to building a diverse team, and seek to be representative of those we are supporting, so we would especially like to hear from applicants who are from minority groups in the UK. We also recognise the importance of lived experience in all roles within our organisation, and therefore welcome applications from those with lived experience of disadvantage or gender based violence.
How to Apply: Please email your interest in the first instance to the Chair of Trustees - information below - setting out relevant experience and what attracts you to supporting theMovement Charity
Applications should be addressed to: Robin Barden (Chair of Trustees) and sent to rb499@cam.ac.uk
